Inquiry 3 was a lot of fun. I wanted to do another branding project, and I wanted to be purposeful about the brand I was creating. I decided to make a brand called 'Flourish', focused on creating a safe and affordable beauty brand targeted towards young teens. My inspiration was the stories I have been seeing all over social media talking about Sephora 10 year olds, and their crazy spending on luxury skincare and cosmetics. Not only does a 10-12-year-old not need luxury skincare and makeup, but many of the ingredients are harmful to young skin.  'Flourish' is specifically made to satisfy both the teen and the parent who is likely paying for these products.
I began by deciding on some products I wanted to carry, I chose basics like Daily Moisturizer and toner pads. But I also included trendy things like a tinted lip balm and hydrating facial mist. I picked bright and loud colors for my brand color palette, and bubbly graphics to pair.  Overall, I am happy with the final products and brand image. I am for sure going to continue this in my final project to create a full-fledged brand.
Media 3 discussed a lot about being in the creative world and things that fuel you as an artist. One thing that stood out to me was the second or third point of defying the cliche. To be honest, I sometimes feel insecure as a designer who doesn't necessarily "dress like an artist" or maybe I'm not into the same type of things that the majority of my fellow classmates are. This part of the podcast however made me more comfortable with that, and more confident that it might even make me stand out.
