In Chapters 3 and 4, Landa gave some insightful information about what projects to accept and copyright. Personally, I found Chapter 3 to be especially informative and it reminded me a lot of the recent visiting designer Will Bryan's talk. Landa wrote about the S.U.I.T.E.S of Benefits which stands for; Social Good, Utility, Information, Temptation, Entertainment, and Shareworthy. This got me thinking a lot about Will Bryans's talk and "Know, Dough, and Grow". In his talk we discussed when you're accepting projects you need to either want people to know you did this project, it could pay a lot, or it could help you grow in your field. Bryan said it could be a combination of these or just one. For example, this is similar to Landa's ideology in that "Know" is the same as "Shareworthy". This would be a project that would add to your portfolio and "coolness" as a designer. In the future, when choosing clients or projects to accept, I will definitely be considering every one of these points. When I am a growing designer who will need to grow their client portfolio and make money, I may not have the luxury of choosing my clients, however, I can still consider these points as I grow as a designer.
